Eco Pond Rescue Pond Cleaning Log

WATCH THE VIDEO

Eco Pond Rescue now offers a Polyacrylamide (PAM) pond cleaning log that will bind certain nutrients, such as phosphates, make the water clearer and beautiful. Utilizing the LIPVACS and the pond cleaning log, you can treat 1 to 1.5 million gallons of water in just 14 days.

Eco Pond Rescue's advantage is in the constant turn over of positive water flow past the pond cleaning log allowing maximum exposure to all the water in the pond or lake. This ensures the pond cleaning log's special formula will treat new water every minute.

Water Testing:

Eco Pond Rescue tests for several parameters that help us determine the correct course of action and products. The tests include Turbidity (clarity), PO4 (phosphates), Hardness and PH. We also test the water sample for reaction time and results for the proper polymer.

Pond Cleaning Logs (Polyacrylamide) PAM FAQ

Q. Will Eco Pond Rescue Pond Cleaning Logs treatment harm turf?
A. No. Once the polymer binds (floc) to the nutrients, the floc will sink and remain in the silt.

Q. Is Eco Pond Rescue treatment safe for fish?
A. Yes. All the Pond Cleaning Logs meet ANSI/NSF Standard 60 Drinking Water Treatment Chemical Additive classification. Extensive toxicity testing has been conducted on each type of Pond Cleaning Log, following EPA test protocol and ASTM guidelines, to ensure they are non-toxic and safe to use anywhere.

Q. What the heck is a polyacrylamide (PAM)?
A.Polyacrylamide or PAM is a large family of chemicals based on chains of acrylamide units.
Depending on their exact make-up, these polymers can be anionic (negatively charged), cationic
(positively charged) or neutral. There are hundreds of different types of PAMs used for a wide
variety of purposes in many industries including agriculture, water treatment, and paper-making.
The positively charged (cationic) polymers should be used with care, and never where there is a
potential for release into the open environment. The cationic polymers are highly toxic to fish
and aquatic organisms as they can bind directly to the respiratory membranes on the gill surface
causing suffocation. Only the anionic or negatively charged polymer types should be used for
erosion control or water clarification where there is discharge into the open environment.

Q. How does Eco Pond Rescue clarify water?
A.The Pond Cleaning Logs can also remove dissolved metals, phosphorous, nutrients and algae from the water column. They can decrease harmful algae blooms and bacteria by removing the clay
particles that provide the surfaces they attach to and grow on. The Pond Cleaning Logs can bind
phosphorous and limit its availability to plants, helping reduce the growth of water weeds.

Q. Will Eco Pond Rescue eliminate existing algae?
A. No. Except that by binding the nutrients the algae "starve" and are limited in growth.

Q. Is the Eco Pond Rescue program compatible with algaecides or pesticides?
A. Yes. However it is our belief that continual spraying will cause a myriad of water quality problems. It becomes quite expensive as well.
